Looking for a Quality Hygienic Queen

Post by natepshapiro »

I am looking for recommendations for where to find a good quality Hygienic Queen to replace the poor quality one I have. When I look online everyone has the best queens ever born. I would like some advice on what experiences other beeks in the area have found in regard.

Try "wayne's bees" at Beez Needz.

Thanks. I got a new queen and got lucky, for a change. I split my hive from an 8 frame to 2 nucs. I couldn't find the queen during the split but requeened in one of them. When I put the queen in the bees seemed agitated. The next day I checked on the queen and the bees were calm. The next week I checked the queen and she had been released. This is where the luck overcame Murphy's Law. The nuc with the new queen was doing well with sealed brood being seen. The other nuc also had a queen (I finally found her) and she was laying well also. What a surprise.
