complete hive wanted

Post by ginger »

I am interested in purchasing a complete hive with a fairly young producing queen. Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome Ginger!

Most of the local Guilford county beekeepers woul not be able to help you in your quest.
If you would check the following link, I believe that it will serve your needs. http://www.ncagr.com/paffairs/class/2-05bees.htm
If you are just starting out I would suggest that you maintain 2 hives for comparison reasons. By having 2 you would better be able to identify a weak or failing hive because you have the ability to compare it to one that is doing better.
Since I am not familar with your name I am assuming that you are not currently attending the Guilford County beekeepers meetings.
Please come join us!
There are also beginner courses available starting tonight Feb. 17 at the Ag center. Check out our home page for further details. http://guilfordbeekeepers.org/

Look forward to seeing you in the future!
