DATES FOR BEGINNER COURSE WILL BE CHANGING TO BEGIN IN EARLY JANUARY AND END IN EARLY FEBRUARY--STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS JUST NOTIFIED THE COOPERATIVE EXTENSION THAT THEY WILL BE TAKING OUR MEETING SPACE FOR EARLY VOTING FROM MID-FEBRUARY THROUGH EARLY MARCH. IN ALL LIKELIHOOD, THE REVIEW DATE AND CERTIFIED WRITTEN EXAM DATES WILL HAVE TO BE SET FOR A DIFFERENT NIGHT IF WE ARE TO SCHEDULE WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME OF COURSE ENDING.

Weather make up dates to be posted later and create a significant gap in teaching session dates.
Classes begin at 7:00 pm for about 2 hours a session, and will be held at the barn kitchen meeting room in the Guilford County Cooperative Extension Center, 3309 Burlington Road, Greensboro, NC. The plan is for 6 teaching sessions, optional question & answer/test review session at a time and date to be determined, and administration of the optional written portion of the NCSBA certified beekeepers examination at a time and date to be determined., for those wishing to take it. The cost is $35.00 for individuals or $40.00 per family which includes 1 book/registration, handouts, and membership in the GCBA. North Carolina State Beekeepers Association membership ($15.00 per person) is required for those wanting to participate in the Master Beekeeper program and take the certified beekeepers examination. It is not required to take the beginners course or join the Guilford Beekeepers, but it is strongly encouraged.

THE NORTH CAROLINA STATE BEEKEEPERS NOW PROVIDE THE ABILITY TO JOIN AND PAY ANNUAL DUES ON LINE. THE LINK IS-- https://www.ncbeekeepers.org WE WILL NOT BE COLLECTING NCSBA DUES AND BATCHING MEMBERSHIP FORMS AS IN THE PAST. YOUR NCSBA MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH YOUR MEMBER NUMBER WILL BE E MAILED TO YOU OR SENT DIRECTLY TO YOU DEPENDING ON THE OPTION YOU SELECT WHEN JOINING THE NCSBA.
