If the space within the hive bodies is too expansive for the number of bees-will they have a difficult time keeping the colony warm? Is there ever a time when you reduce the number of brood boxes/supers? thanks.

Thanks for your help--I purchased bees 10 days ago and cannot see eggs, although the bees don't seem particularly unhappy. We tried to locate the queen today--but couldn't. We see signs of strong of nectar/pollen storage. I think we need a new queen. Any recommendations?

After a purchase of bees on 3/27, I believe that our queen is dead, and we need to purchase a new one. Please let me know if you have queens available for purchase now. Thanks--
