I enjoyed the interaction with the members and hopefully you took away some tips to make some Mead

Cleanliness is important !!!!!! Any honey can be used. DONT USE BREAD YEAST !!!!

Local resources for equipment and ingredients:
Big Dans Brewshed off of 68 (5 stars )
Triad Homebrew cnr Market and Guilford College rd (4 stars)
5th Season - lower Battleground Rd ( Not used recently)

Internet :
Northern brewer (5 stars) two days to get to us - fixed shipping costs on most items
More Beer (4 stars) 5 days as in Ca, also some fixed shipping costs
many many more suppliers these days

I will be posting up the slides a few at a time, and here is a PDF for anyone to download the full presentation:http://www.guilfordbeekeepers.org/wp-co ... d_2013.pdf

I was ably helped by Tim, Derick and Scarlett
Scarlett is a new Beek (member of the club), and daughter of a Beekeeper from Tn

The BBG http://www.battlegroundbrewers.com is the oldest Homebrew club in Piedmont area and one of three active clubs these days - Winston Salem has the Worthawgs and High Point has HOPS

Lastly , I would be most welcome to help anyone with advice or even a loan of some equipment for a proofing first Mead

Our BBG Club members in turn are always looking for bulk honey too , by the gallon usually.
